Pligg is an Open source Social Networking Content Management System (CMS) Combining social bookmarking, and blogging which enables users to collaboratively submit and vote articles. It was influenced by the extremely popular English technology site digg, where when a user submits a news and user can vote the article.
Pligg offers a variety of voting options. The most popular one lets users click on a vote button to vote. The second method is called the “5 Star Voting”. Users can vote for stories based on 5 stars. Once a user clicks on a star the vote count is increased and the average star rating for the total number of votes is automatically displayed.
