I have just created a collapsable menu plugin. This plugin is very useful if you have child category. For example if you have finance category, stock and option subcategory. You would only create article and sign it to the subcategory. To understand what the plugin do, see the image below:

- ‘Uncategorized’ menu has no sub category, so when you click it it will go to the ‘Uncategorized’ category page.
- ‘Category 1′ menu has ‘Category 2′ and ‘Cat baru’ sub category. If you click on ‘Category 1′. I will show the show sub category, and if you click it again it will hide the sub category.
Download the plugin here. The plugin is also hosted at here.

[...] Collapsable Menu [...]
This was working great for my Pages until it upgraded this morning. Now it’s gone from my Widgets. It’s still in Plugins. What’s going on?
@Grime, What did you upgrade? Wordpress version? Try Deactivate, and activate the plugin again.
This plugin is just what I’m looking for, but I’m getting an error when trying to activate:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<’ in” ….collapsable-menu/collapsable-menu.php on line 79″
I believe it’s this line:
echo(“<div id=’LeftSide’ onclick=’SwitchMessage(event, “. .”)’;>”);
Any idea?
Hi surger, It looks OK on my side - maybe it's coding problem in your web page... my take: you could forgot the closing '>' ... One way to test: if you preview it with other themes and it works, there's gotta be a slight coding error with your current theme (or any recent additions on your theme). Please let me know...
I tried the collapsible menu and it doesn’t seem to be working. I have the newest wordpress. Is there a setting I need to adjust other than activating the plugin?
Vinnie, I guess it's compatibility issue with your WP version. Are you using WP 2.7.1? Perhaps you should go back to WP 2.7 because it's WP stable release...
Hi, I´ve tried with diferent themes but I´m getting the same error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<’ in /home/laborato/public_html/intranet/wp-content/plugins/collapsable-menu/collapsable-menu.php on line 79
I have WordPress 2.7.1
Any idea?
Thanks,
I've been working on a fix on the plugin - stay tuned! :)
how you have implemented this plugin in this theme? What file have you modified and How? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, I no longer moderate for this plugin... Thanks for your interest, anyway...
Hi…! This rocks. You rock. Thank you for sharing and helping people out. I send you a virtual beer
YAY!
Awesome plugin, I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. On some of my sites, when they’re listed in a linear manner, it just doesn’t make that much to readers and they get confused.
I do agree that this plug-in is totally useful for a child category, and I’m glad to hear that you are accepting donations because you deserve them for putting all of this info about this plug-in out there.
Cheer :)
Same error. Has anyone gotten it to work with newer versions of WP?
Its not working, 2.8.2 Getting the Syntax error message at /wp-content/plugins/collapsable-menu/collapsable-menu.php on line 79
Unfortunately we don't update the plugin anymore.. It's compatible up to 2.7...
Pity you’re not updating anymore. Can you recomed an alternative?
Sorry - No at the moment...
I’m using WordPress 2.8.6. And this plugin really helped me. Thank you.
Its me just not enough! Thanks, works great. It would be wonderful if it updated…

This is an awesome plugin. I’ve looked for a few similiar ones awhile back when a client requested a menu like this. Glad to see you’ve created one!
i think this great plugin and its really nice to get the information about this plugin. i will definitely going to use it.
for me it’s the best thing there is in this respect because it is simple and can be designed very individually
There should be something wrong, I just can’t get it right.

One way to test: if you preview it with other themes and it works, there’s gotta be a slight coding error with your current theme please help me

I’m only looking for basic instructions on how to change some of these things. I noticed that there is a menu that looks a bit like MS Word. However, there are a few things that I cannot find. Do you know of a written instructional document that I can use to make some basic changes to WP?
Well that was much simpler than I was expecting. Thanks!
Any feedback from you?
