Great news for Namecheap fans and those who look for a one-stop solution for establishing their Internet presence: Namecheap is finally launching their very-first affiliate program.
Namecheap, an ICANN-accredited domain registrar, web hosting provider and other web hosting related services, is finally coming to their senses, perhaps after listening to many feedback from their clients (including me) to launch an affiliate program that will benefit them, as well as us, the clients.
Here are what Namecheap offers to the affiliates:
- You can sell every service Namecheap offer, including domain registry, web hosting and SSL certificates.
- Earn 15% commission on any sale (first purchase only.)
- Commission up to 15 days of referral.
- 30 day waiting period.
Namecheap is one of my favourite web hosting partner (the other one would be HostGator for their outstanding customer live support and reliability.) The big plus for Namecheap is that their simple but highly effective account dashboard, where you can manage everything from inside – Your domain names, web hosting and other services, not mentioning their super-fast support ticket system’s response.
What about GoDaddy? I try to stay away from it, except for managing my domain names – Maybe it’s just a personal preference…
If you are looking for a unique feature other domain registrars don’t do, here’s one: Namecheap’s domain control system allows you to let others exercise control on your domain names with limited permissions. Pushing domain names to other Namecheap members is couldn’t be easier, too.
Hopefully, they will provide more perks to the affiliated clients in the near future.
If you are interested in what Namecheap can offer you, make sure you visit their website to learn more or sign-up as a member.

Totally excited by this news! I’ve been a fan of Namecheap too. For one, you can buy domains from NC with funds from an unverified PayPal account. So if you are too busy to have your PayPal account verified and you want a domain name fast, NC is the way to go. Also, as you mentioned, pushing a domain to another NC user is very easy, great for people buying and selling domain names.
Get discounts too, just Google Namecheap coupons.
15% is pretty impressive! I have been using Go Daddy for quite some time, but with this type of incentive, I will have to consider Namecheap. This would be an effective option for people who haven’t yet set up their PayPal account, which is a great way to get other people interested, gaining you a commission in the meanwhile.
I stick to hostgator for my hosting and this is the first time I have tried Godaddy. Both Namecheap and Godaddy are basically domain registration companies that have switched to hosting because they could cross sell hosting easily. But hostgator are hosting experts
15% commission (one time) doesn’t sound much at all. I think they should share a % of yearly revenue from the user. First orders are always small.. A 15 day tracking is another bad option here. Whatever happened to 90 day tracking.
I guess Namecheap is still in learning phase on its affiliate program - 15 days is pretty short these days, and yes 15% commission is not much (compared to at least $50 commission for Hostgator web hosting affiliate sales...)
I am using name cheap and I absolutely love their service. This is a wonderful development
@admin, at least namecheap is providing an affiliate program, those that made no profit from pointing users to name cheap, can now make a profit =D Perhaps we will see a commission increase, and things improve overall once they get more experience in the affiliate arena.
Till then,
Jean
15 % commission is a great news. I will surely sign up for this… whenever I have searched the namechaep for the domain names… i faced disappointment but this notion was in my mind when I saw the popularity of namecheap that they should have a affiliate network of their own. And Tadah! they now have one.
Thats great news! Im also a massive fan of namecheap and use them for all my purchasers. Ill definitely have no problem recommending them as theyve always been a very easy solution for me.
It is nice to hear that NameCheap has an affiliate program now. Well 15% of commission, and only for first purchase, do not sound very attractive. There are companies who offer up to 30% commission. I think they should offer commission more than 15%.
Agreed - They should. But I'm willing to wait for surprises from NC :)
This sounds like a good affiliate program. It might be worth signing up just for a discount on my own domain registration fees. I also avoid GoDaddy. While they are probably a decent company, I have heard too many bad things about them.
Thanks for the news! haven’t even heard of it before reading your post! would surely look into it
This is interesting, I will have to check them out to see how they work. I don’t know, but has anyone actually made some money from these web hosting affiliate programmes?
that is the good news, name cheap is a good company i know, i will try to become their affiliate
Thanks for sharing the wonderful news. name cheap is wonderful service.
This is great news. I had been referring my clients to GoDaddy (although I feel namecheap is better), since namecheap did not have an affiliate program..Now, I can freely talk about namecheap. They are truly the best registrar ever! Really!
I have always used Name Cheap . Excellant service. All my websites are listed with them.
I’ve made some money with the namecheap affiliate program and it’s pretty good but there’s a few things I don’t like about it.
1. you don’t get credit if they use a coupon
2. $100 minimum paypal withdraw
3. no credit on recurring hosting
name cheap is one of the best domain registrar. i have 3domain from namecheap and very easy process. very recommended.
I love namecheap. I use them for all my domain purchases.
This is interesting, I will have to check them out to see how they work. I don’t know, but has anyone actually made some money from these web hosting affiliate programmes?
I do :)
Cynthia - Yeah, but I guess they are not that generous in compensating affiliates. Maybe this could change in the near future?
well i am interested in the commission scheme which you offer . i will definitely keep this in mind and as i get any offer than i will mail you
Sounds like a nice affiliate program. Compensating affiliates should be your priority.
Any feedback from you?
