WordPress plugins are very usefull for your blog. They can help you get traffic. So here are a list of plugin that I use in my wordpress:
- Akismet, Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it.
- Contact Form Plugin, just another contact form plugin. Simple but flexible.
- Dofollow, disables the rel=nofollow attribute in comments.
- FeedBurner plugin, detects all ways to access your original WordPress feeds and redirects them to your FeedBurner feed so you can track every possible subscriber.
- Global Translator, automatically translates a blog in fourteen different languages (English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Greek, Dutch, Norwegian) by wrapping four different online translation engines (Google Translation Engine, Babelfish Translation Engine, FreeTranslations.com, Promt).
- Google XML Sitemaps. This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of your WordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.
- Head META Description, insert HTML META description tag: excerpt/content brief for post/Page, description for category, and blog tagline for everything else.
- KeywordLuv, reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords, in the link to their website, giving them improved anchor text. For example, leaving “Stephen @ Custom WordPress Plugins” in the name field, will result in the following: Stephen from Custom WordPress Plugins.
- Related Posts, returns a list of the related entries based on active/passive keyword matches.
- SEO Title Tag, search engine optimize your blog’s title tags. Create a customized title tag for any post, static page, category page.
- ShareThis, let your visitors share a post/page with others. Supports e-mail and posting to social bookmarking sites.
- Show Top Commentators, encourage more feedback and discussion from readers, by rewarding them every time they post a comment! Readers with the most comments are displayed on your WordPress blog, with their names (linked to their website if they provided one).
- Adsense plugin, insert Adsense code in your pages without modifying the template. Show different ads for articles older than 7 days (or as old as you wish).
-
WP-PostRatings, adds an AJAX rating system for your WordPress blog’s post/page.

I think that those of you that use the keyword luv plugin should commended for your desire to offer a place for relevant comments to be posted while at the same time getting great content posted to your blog. If more bloggers would realize the potential power of such an application, many more bloggers would welcome commenting that would allow the participant to make an on topic post that would in turn increase the publishers content and at the same time allowing the commentor to receive a link back to their own blog with an anchor.
I think it is wonderful for those that offer such a powerful plugin like KeywordLuv.
Thanks for your information
WordPress has some great plugins but none are as efficient as Keyword Luv. I’ve been using it and loving it.
You’re right Irene, WordPress does have very good plug-ins and KeywordLuv and Comment Luv are at the top of our list of favorites.
Very nice post.Thank for the information.
Thanks for sharing and this very useful for information.
Thanks, Pawan...
I think you missed out the commentluv and threaded comments plugins. These are very good plugins if you want to get a better response in the form of comments from your visitors!
Thanks for your recommendations, Thomas!
Thank you for sharing these cool plugins.
I really learn something from reading this post today especially about keyword luv plugin. Just to add to this list I also enjoy sticky post plugin and tubepress plugin.
I just started looking into keywordluv and it’s absolutely amazing how many sites are supporting this. It’s such a great help. I luv it!
Hi Jason, Yes - It's a win-win plugin for both blog owners and visitors.
Danny, Thanks for the good word :)
Your post gives me more ideas and the plugin are great I can’t wait to try this, thanks for sharing and I hope you can share more info in the future.
Wordpress has some great tools for bloggers…all thou it gets difficult to find such blogs that have keywordluv or commentluv enabled. I installed this on my blog and I ended up getting a lot more spam then I wanted. But it is a great way to generate backlinks!
I have been using KeywordLuv but the spamming issue has been killing too much time which I cannot afford to waste. Does anyone know how to keep them away?
HI! Wonderful list of plugins. Quick question for you: I see you list two plugins: Home META Description and SEO Title Tag. Until now I’ve been using the SEO All-in-One plugin. Do you think it would be better for me to use these two plugins you recommend or just stick to the SEO All-in-One? Thanks! -David
Hi, I noticed that you have KeywordLuv installed on your blog. This is a great plugin! I have installed it on my blog as well. So far the results have been amazing, although there are a few people out there(blackhatters) who have chosen to use this plugin for evil. But overall, it is one of the best plugins I have installed on my blog thus far! I look forward to reading more from you in the future!
this wordpress plugin list is the best, i’ve been using some of them and its really helps me on my websites
thanks a lot especially for the adsense plugin
I think that instead of the SEO-Title-Tag plugin , one could better use the Platinum-SEO plugin which has far more flexibility & several options also!
Thanks
Thanks :)
Jared, Overall, it's a great experience using KeywordLuv - It does make my blog 'luvable' ;)
David, I've reverted to SEO All-in-one plugin, and it is the best so far ;)
HeadSpace2 plugin also works well for SEO.
I have been using keywordluv commentluv ect and I must say the amount of spam has surpised me, why bother when it will just be deleted, I hold all of my comments for moderation now and delete as nesessary which we would not have to do if it wasn’t for spammers, but with a lot of things in life the few usually spoil it for the rest.
I’ve been following your articles for some time now. They are really great, and interesting reads. By the way, absolutely love KeywordLuv!
Spencer, I guess that's probably the best - manually moderate comments... It's time consuming, though...
I use most of the plugins myself except the contact form plugin, which am going to install asap. Thanks admin.
askimet on top of all, that plug in really comes in handy filtering spam and other malicious activity on your blog, I could also use blog roll plug ins..
Thanks for sharing these wordpress plugins. The nice thing about post comments is that I’m always learning some extra marketing tips. In some way serious blogs are giving the same information than forums.
Thanks all the same, Daniel!
Agreed!
To me word press is something that you type that no one gets to see . I never had one comment on my wordpress blog . You never see it anywhere when you type in me or my book so what good is word press blog or is it one of those things they expect you to give them tons of extra money to work?
When I read the comment from Spencer about the spamming I am getting a little worried. I have installed keywordluv and commentluv on my new website, but I might consider removing it if I get too much spam. Does anyone have some experience with this?
Btw I have installed the Akismet plugin to reduce the spamming.
Good post about all the different codes, but I heard that google will follow links even if you have the rel=no follow. I have read that in several places, including the seo gang on the warrior forum. Not sure if it is true, but I tend to think it is.
Hi,
I am new to blogging and think the tools available to us to use in WordPress are just amazing. They take what would require long hours and make our jobs exponentially easier. Thank you for this post it was very educational to me. I didn’t know what many of these plug-ins did for us. I know that the akisment has weeded out some spammy comments. Those people must be lazy or something to do that, I mean if someone is working hard enough to post that indepth post in their blog, they should show the respect and read and comment thoughtfully on it.
Thank you once again, I learned much.
many thanks fo rthis info. Setting up wordpress properly is always worthwhile as it perfoms great for SEO!
The main issue for newcomers to SEO is how to keep all the elements of SEO together, and effectively
manage all the best practices for on page optimization in page design and copywriting as well as off page elements
like blog posting / link building and so on. I was one of those who battled and then after getting into software marketing almost
by accident 7 years ago, we decided to put our own seo software package together (we already did keyword research and adwords intelligence)
which does the lot. It took us two years to develop but the results were worth it; there is a free seo software trial version there if you want to try it. We have also programmed our blog manager to spefically look for KeywordLuv blogs – for obvious reasons.
Thanks for a great list of plugins. Is there a limit to the number of plugins that you can add to your blog?
Wordpress is a fantastic piece of coding that allows the easy interaction of modules to enhance any website. its usability and functionality really are some of the best.
Any feedback from you?
