You can use e-commerce with joomla, virtuemart and integrating it with 2checkout payment gateway. Virtuemart support various payment gateways like 2checkout and paypal. To integrate virtuemart and 2checkout use the following steps:
- Fill in your details like secret word for 2Checkout in your Shop. Edit Store -> Payment List -> 2Checkout.
- Login to your 2Checkout account at www.2checkout.com. Go to the section called “Look and Feel”.
Fill in https://YOUR_JOOMLA_URL/2checkout_notify.php into the fields Approved URL and Pending URL. Fill in the secret word from the previous steps into the Field Secret Word. - Move the file YOUR_JOOMLA_PATH/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/2checkout_notify.php to
YOUR_JOOMLA_PATH/2checkout_notify.php

A place to find how to integrate virtuemart and 2checkout, thanks a lot guys! Using your tips now.
I too was impressed by Joomla’s compatibility to a wider range of e-commerce software. I had some software from my host that hasn’t worked with certain other features so I was a bit concerned about it. I’m looking for more information on joomla because I know it has a lot of features and it’s so easy to work with.
I didn’t know that Joomla was that customisable, i thought as well that WordPress was the reference in customization, I really have to try Joomla.
Any feedback from you?
