How to detect fake feedburner icon

Have you ever see a big numbers in feedburner stat like this ? The image will link to smallwebsitehost.com feed. Do you know that it is fake? Yes it is fake. Right click the image and go to the image properties. You will know that the image is at http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/CarolineMiddlebrook?bg=FF9900&fg=444444&anim=1. I have use the image from CarolineMiddlebrook’s blog, one of my favorite blogger.

Morale of the post, be careful on looking other blog stats. It might be fake. In the case of feedburner stat, you can find out if it is fake or not by looking at it’s image location.
