Green Web Hosting Reviews

There are many web hosting reviews available online that helps people in arriving at a decision. Reviews for Green Web Hosting providers are extremely important as they are relatively new and also using alternate sources of energy like renewable energy sources to run the web servers that are used to host the websites.

Most of the reviews of green web hosting companies or for that matter any web hosting service providers are just a marketing ploy to attract customers rather than having any distinct features and advantages of the company. The genuine green web hosting reviews help customers to compare and analyze advantages and disadvantages of various green web hosting services and then make a decision accordingly. In order to make a decision one should make a decision by going through the reviews of the customers who have used their services. The following are some of the reviews for different green web hosting service providers.

Thanks for the reviews of these web hosts. I use HostGator and I was actually not aware of their Green initiatives. It makes me a little happier that I chose them. Lots of companies are jumping on the environmentally-friendly bandwagon. So it is good to know which ones are actually doing good and which ones are just putting on a front.

  • Nov 26, 2009 by Roy from Hostgator Coupon HQ

A lot of people don’t know that Hostgator have a green initiative but it should be out there more because they are a great, forward thinking company.

Super Green Hosting are on another level though. I can see them having their staff being made to carbon neutralize their lives, recycling every last thing and running their homes on solar panels and wind turbines in their back yard! Still, it’s a good thing both of these companies are doing and it makes me feel better in the knowledge that I’m not destroying the planet while hosting my sites.

    Green hosting ftw!

Webhost review sites are certainly something that I rely on when I am looking for a newhost. Especially ones where they let normal people leave reviews of hosts.

Do people really care about Green web hosting, I wonder with the carbon emitions by google ect, if green webhosting really matters?

  • Dec 6, 2009 by cash back reward

I have had gator hosting for several years now…and never knew they had a green hosting. I am going to have to ask or look into it. Though, it’s probably like everything else green right which is like three times higher than everything else.

I have heard of Super Green Hosting doing tree planting projects, which I think is really great. It’s impressive that they’re taking the time out to help the environment even though they are working as a web hosting site. It’s even more enticing to use them since they provide a free domain…

  • Dec 10, 2009 by Making a Will

I’ve come across Hostgator before and I think that they have a really good point. Why not use them? Apart from their green credentials, they also differentiate themselves in their service.

Interesting stuff – it’s nice to know how green web hosting services work, and also which ones to choose to stay “green”.

This sounds like a great site for review and comparison…

I’ve been using Hostgator only because a friend has a reseller account there. It’s good to know that I’m using eco web hosting for my blog :)

  • Dec 23, 2009 by Paul from business opportunity review

These companies are probably exploiting the green issue but frankly I don’t care. especially good that a number of the US companies are getting involved as it seems that the US are last to grab hold of the green issue. I use hostgator so I guess I can sleep easy!

  • Dec 24, 2009 by Miami motorcycle rental

Nice to know that Green Web Hosting is doing a fine job. Hopefully other will follow or maybe some new services of that kind will appear.

  • Dec 29, 2009 by Fernando Alvirez

Hmmm, so the providers have now found another way of commercialising! Sorry for critisizing this in such a harsch way though … well, it seems as if the people at Super Green Hosting really mean it and are believing in their project. Well, one way or another, we’ll all be forced -sooner or later- to do something for nature wellfare. And such projects seem to matter indeed.

It’s a pitty you haven’t mentioned anything about the cost though, I guess these services can’t come at the usual prices, so I fear a lot of interested people will eventually step away.

Hostgator is reliable from my experiences and that is one of the most important factors in my opinion in choosing a web hosting company.

Happy New Year, I guess someone should be setting up Carbon free Blogging. Thank you for the links I have a few environmental organizations that were asking me how to find a green web host and it brought me to you. Thanks Alot.

Never heard of Green Web Hosting until I came to this site to see the review. Might have to give them a try.

  • Jan 9, 2010 by Ron from Sikat Ang Pinoy

I find those hosting reviews or “green hosting site reviews” way complicated. What I mean is, much better to test and see for yourself if a certain host is best suited for your site.

  • Jan 10, 2010 by John from Raleigh Computer Repair

I think it is great to seem more and more hosts, as well as other types of companies, realize the importance of going green. There are so many really simple things we can do to help the environment, without having to sacrifice our goals or quality. I hope this pays off well for these companies, as this will lead others to follow their lead.

  • Jan 11, 2010 by Pete

Your eco-friendly steps are praise worthy. I appreciate it! Best of luck to you !

  • Jan 11, 2010 by Todd from Kentucky Movers

I really like how so many hosting companies are starting to offer green options. A server farm takes up a lot of electricity and also requires constant cooling, so it can really be a very environmentally unfriendly business. That’s why I’m glad so many companies are trying to be responsible with the impact they make on the environment. Thanks for these reviews!

  • Jan 16, 2010 by admin

Fernando, In fact, there are some claiming themselves as green web hosting providers for the sake of getting more sales from environmentally-conscious clients! Reading the green web hosting providers' profile page will give you an idea or two on how they make themselves "green" - buying energy certificates is not entirely a legitimate go green move, but it's a start! I fave those who implement green principles in their business operations as well as on their web servers. Prices are relatively the same - The difference is (or should be) the principle and believe behind the going green campaign.

  • Jan 16, 2010 by admin

You could sleep easier knowing if Hostgator green their entire business operations :) - but honestly, not many green web hosting provider implementing green principles in their day-to-day operations.

  • Jan 16, 2010 by admin

    Hostgator IS green hosting!
