When making website or posting an article, it is important to know what keywords are you targetting. By targeting the right keyword, you can have more traffic. There are lots of Keyword Research Tool out there which will help you research appropriate words and phrases to include in your webpage’s body text to aid in promotion. The most popular one is Keyword Elite but it cost you a lot.
To research keyword for free, I use google adwords. There I can enter a keyword, and it will show you Estimated Average. CPC, and search volume. Estimated Average. CPC shows you average avertiser cost for a click of a keyword. Higher Estimated Avg. CPC means higher adsense revenue for a click on your website.

I agree that Keyword Tool from Adwords is a powerful tool which can help a lot to make a keyword research. But there are also another free tools that I always use when I want to find new good niche or keywords like seobook.com or spyfu.com. I use these tools every time and I have good results.
Robert, Which one is the better tool than the other?
I think it just makes sense to use the free google tools when it’s google that most of us are tying our best to optimize for, rather than other keyword tools.
Amy - Agreed, especially if you are monetizing your sites with Google Adsense :)
There’re a lot of tools to use, i think you have to choose your own. I use semrush only for example and it is great imho.
I use the free google keyword tool all the time. You can also use their traffic estimator for specific keywords as well. Never thought of this until I read it on a blog.
Thanks.
amy and admin – i dont really agree, sometimes google tools will limit you in alot of ways to ensure no spam policy, or advantage limits.. when other programs doesnt have any interese to limit your SEO power..
