By using wordpress templates, you can increase your CTR thus increasing your revenue. This article will help you to create your own optimized adsense template. To create your own adsense template, you need to know the best place to put it. You can check adsense heat map. Basically the best place for adsense is the left side and your center screen. I this article, I will be using the left side, and blend the adsense with the article. Here are the steps:

  • Download wordpress template that you like, preferably has left sidebar. Remember that left side has higher CTR, because your eyes will see the left screen first. Upload the theme to your hosting using a FTP software.
  • Login to your blog and edit your theme. To show your adsense in your left sidebar, edit the sidebar.php or other file that is used to show the sidebar.
  • For showing your adsense into your center screen or blend it to your post, you actually don’t need to modify your theme. You only need to install this plugin. The plugin will help you showing your Adsense. After you have download it and upload it to your server, you can start setting it. You can put your Adsense code into Ads Code #1, and set Ads Code #1 to show at Top Left of front page, page, and single page.
