My view is that there isn't much point in leaving spam comments for SEO purposes. These days either the webmaster is going to reject your comment or a search engine is going to pick you up on it and then you're destroyed. I have no issue with any blog comments for SEO purposes provided they prove that the writer has read the blog, taken something from it and is making an interesting statement. This may take more time than the spamming method but I've found it much more rewarding and over time will give better results.

I usually don't even comment on a blog that don't allow do follow links. While it is true we would all love to be so interesting that we could just get a massive amount of followers by the interesting stuff we write, most bloggers don't live up to those standards. i found that if I opened up my blogs for do dollow comments I would get a lot more comments. it is true you can get some that abuse it but for the most part I have had a great experience with it.

There are just thousands of annoying SEO who just leaves generic and sometimes irrelevant comments to our blog, and this what makes most web or blog owners turn no follow on. If we are just commenting to get a backlink then we will definitely come out with spam comments, but if we are commenting because we like what we have read and we also love what we are doing, chances are, we will be creating a much more pleasant web community.

Well, to be honest, I share the view that the motive behind most comments are to build backlinks. I've visited many KeywordLuv blogs which are easy to find and some of the comments are totally useless. Having say that. should Google and search engines be faulted for placing such high importance on building backlinks to rank websites? And if backlinks are not important for SEO, do you think blogs will get that many comments especially from internet marketeers. Will other visitors bother to comment? Any comments?

While spam and commenting DO suck and are dull as can be unfortunately it's the name of the game right now. As with any job internet marketing is work and not all work is fun. Until the game changes we need to play along to get ahead.

In blog commenting it is necessary that you must read first the whole post before making any comments to avoid commenting like, nice post, good job. These comments are really suck.

I agree with you partly. But why not make comments moderated? This way you will be able to leave relative and friendly comments and block the spam? Just an advice, don't give up. We all have similar problems and most of us are cousing this problems to other. That is seo blogging :)

Really interesting to read. Before leaving a comment on blog, one must read atleast fastly and after getting a vague idea, comment on it.

I agree that SEO techniques will continue to stay ahead of automated SPAM filters for blog comments. However, relevant blog commenting is still an effective way to gain link juice for your site, as well as send curious visitors who appreciate your insightful commentary.
