wish we could buy re-furbished. Unfortunately our company requires only new equip. when we upgrade. Any resources for places to buy refurbished equip. that is under some type of warranty? I think that one of the issues we have is the lack of warranty on many refurbished items.

Refurb maybe cheaper but new is better and will last longer.

I agree. I run a small business and we use the DELL refurbished computers e-portal they have to pick up our laptops and other anciallary IT hardware needs. A lot of the machines have pretty good specs as well so when you’re a small business, it’s a no brainer.

Thanks for the information dude. I totally agree to you if it is a small company you can go for refurbished hardware. But for big companies they don’t go for refurbished computers as they are charged heavily by their support guys

Never thought of using refurbed hardware, something I will consider. Also have to look into where I can sell some of this old hardware as I have been throwing it away.

Refurbishing has both advantages and disadvantages, yeah it is cost cutting but you have to watch out for the efficiency and effectiveness at the same time. so be thoughtful when you are making such a decision.
