couldn’t imagine trying to run a business and provide our own technical support when it’s so far off from our core competencies and business plan. I think people who try to run their own servers are just hurting themselves.

but I still like to have an in house IT guy, may be one guy to take care of company’s immediate need. then give to the expert if needed.

I think medium large size companies must get the IT services. They can not afford to operate without a proper technical support otherwise they will go out of business. In past, I have had a service from a company that had very poor customer support and ultimately they were out of business (I left them even before that). On the other hand it is difficult for small size hosting companies to afford the extra cost of IT services if the cost is high. No matter what the case is, no hosting company can operate without technical support and for that reason, IT services are a must have.
